The iPad has come a long way since it was first released on April 3, 2010. On November 2, 2012 Apple released the most recent versions, the fourth-generation iPad and the iPad Mini.
The iPad is thin and light yet extremely powerful and the App Store is home to over 300,000 iPad apps. 
Jonathan Lee of iPad Repair Leeds mentions how most people use the iPad to "surf the web, catch up with friends and family on Facebook, even play video games". However
he also discovered 5 different uses for the iPad including car entertainment system, typewriter, pinball machine, weighing scales and a sat nav.
