iPhone 6, iPhone 5S release delayed

Apple's iPhone 6 and iPhone 5S release date delayed due to design issues, rumor has it

The latest Apple rumors suggest that the upcoming iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 are completely focused on an updated design, rather than improved specs. Not only that, but the release date for the two new devices is purportedly being pushed back due to design issues in the production line. That's interesting, considering Apple hasn't even announced a launch date yet. But previous rumors have claimed that it would happen sometime over the summer, possibly in August. That said, we're really not too concerned about potential issues with the release date since, you know, there isn't one yet.
As for the design itself, the next iPhone will supposedly be thinner and lighter than its predecessors. We've heard many times over now that the device will launch in several different color options, possibly even with a pink and blue version. In the past, Apple has stuck with a simple two color choice of either black or white. But it wouldn't be a completely shocking shift to release more colors, as the company already offers a regular rainbow of choices with its iPod.
Aside from the purported new design, details on Apple's upcoming devices remain sparse. Last week there was word that the company could introduce wireless charging with the iPhone 5S, but that seems unlikely, given that many believe this is more of an "S" year for the iPhone (meaning it will be more focused on minor updates rather than a total makeover). We've heard so many mixed things, but at least one rumor remains consistent: that Apple will offer a cheaper version of its iPhone. If true, the budget-friendly device would likely be constructed of an inexpensive plastic material.
A cheaper iPhone could also feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon SoC to further cut costs. And, of course, the lower end version would most likely be limited to 3G. Meanwhile, Apple's iPad 5 is expected to launch sometime next month and is rumored (much like the upcoming iPhone) to be even lighter than the last version.
